6:49p | A bit of this and a bit of that. I got this one from ![[info - personal]](http://s.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png){kind=small} oxoniensis. Heh, dunno why she gave it to me, but I adore it *grins*Thank you! Oh, and this is Hunter. She belonged to a couple of friends who couldn't take her to the new place they moved. Or rather, they have two big dogs as well and the new place was smaller, so they preferred giving her away. So she now lodges here. Hopefully she'll get used to being here and I won't end up being allergic to her (crosses fingers). I haven't had a check done for allergies in nearly 20 years. Might consider doing it again, just to be on the safe side. My pollen allergy has definitely flared since then, and it's been steadily been getting worse over the past few years. 3:34p | Fandom Advent Calendar Post 1 (Days 1 - 5) I had every intention of posting a drabble every day from the 1st of December till the 25th, divided into fives they will be various fandoms and for every five, there will be a theme. Now, I'm trying to catch up, so you guys are getting the first batch as I did 3 of them on the train from the airport to Odense last night. It's fun to do when your desktop features a naked Arthur XD and there are people sitting behind and next to you. 2:22a | So, yeah, peeps I. AM. HOME. DAMN. IT!!! I am also bloody knackered and still awake at 2 AM... shut up. *grumbles* I downloaded Merlin, haven't watched yet though, since I put Hot Fuzz on - which I bought in Dunfermline before leaving. I have one thing to say. I may... possibly... have a thing for Simon Pegg in full uniform, bulletproof vest, sunglasses and with an arsenal that would make Rambo weep with envy Is there any help to be had for that? 11:53p | Day 5 - Cardiff to Blackpool and Day 6 - Blackpool to Dunfermline Day 5 - Cardiff to Blackpool In the morning, we set out to go to Blackpool - our midstop before we would be back in Dunfermline. We chose to go via the A49 instead of heading to the M6 - mostly because we knew from the way down that south of Manchester was road works about every 20 mins and in a lot of places we'd been forced down to 40 mph - sometimes less and a few times full stop. So we decided to avoid the motorway up until south of Preston - then we headed onto it and then off toward Blackpool. Blackpool... was... a bit kitchy - the permanent lights were REALLY kitchy XD - the Christmas lights were okay, nothing extreme light sleigh-riding Santas. They make me want to barf. ( Day 5 - Cardiff to Blackpool ) Current Mood: sleepy |

9:25p | Day 4 - Cardiff by day and night So, the next morning we went to the Doctor Who Exhibit (again, since we went this summer) and I was roughly 50 quid poorer when we came out *flushes* Outcome: ♥ John Barrowman's new biography (signed) ♥ Two sets of mini figures (doctor who) - one for Nicci one for me ♥ A special TW version of Jack - with a blue shirt! numbered too *g* ♥ TW playing cards ♥ A tardis key ring Ahem, yeah, shut up! ( Cardiff by day and Night ) |

7:57p | Day 3 - Alcester to Cardiff Now, day 3 went very well. We ate a big breakfast across from the Travlodge at the Little Chef's. Then we went our seperate ways (after making sure we'd chased everyone else off by being... well , us LOL). Nicci and I dropped toastedtoad in Stratford at the Morrisson's so she could have a bit of coffee beore she caught her train.Nicci and I, not wanting to pay toll to get into Wales, drove up and around the top of the river Severn. It would have been okay if there hadn't been a minor traffic accident and we had to be diverted onto some odd B road, driving almost behind a rather large lorry. And there were parts of the road with more than a little flooding. We finally made it down to Cardiff and although we managed to do a slight detour into the Butetunnel, we realized right away and got turned around on the other side and the Travelodge was located without any problems. After checking in, we went for a walk and stupid as I was, I forgot my scarf and I now pay for that with a cold. Fully medicated, I bring you pictures of Cardiff bay at night. At least some of it, as I was bloody freezing! ( Cardiff 1st night ) Current Mood: happy |

9:30a | Day 1 - Dunfermline - Alcester via Stratford In the morning everything was a bit hectic, but we all managed, though we left later than we would have liked to, due to a bit of shopping and some McD breakfast. Still, we set out from there around 10. It was fairly good weather, on the way down, apart from one rush of rain that of course hit when I was driving. WHY!? 10:21a | I survived BLACK FRIDAY! Yes I did. I didn't get yelled at by one customer nor did I get trampled, stomped, shoved or in anyway Folded, Stapled, Spindled or Mutilated. The perks of working in a craft store as opposed to a department store we get the overflow and people shopping Christmas decor. We had Cricut machines for $69.99! OMG! Heard lots of horror stories about Target and Best Buy, we had a blizzard, one cashier didn't show, so they stuck me at a register (boo)but only for a while then back on the floor to play with Christmas ornaments and show people around. Off by noon and free till... well tonight anyway. |
